I attended
Vancouver School of Beauty in Vancouver, WA, in 1987. My career
as a nail technician/salon owner began in 1988.
My first salon was called At Your Fingertips - located in
Vancouver, WA. Several nail technicians leased space from me,
and we had a great time serving many wonderful clients.

I sold my salon when family issues brought me back to Grand
Rapids, MN, where I opened another salon - A-1 Nails...at your
fingertips. The following year I moved back to Vancouver, WA and
attended BCTI computer school. (I thought I wanted a
"real" job.)
After completing my course at BCTI, I worked for Metro
Sweeping, Inc. - a parking lot sweeping company in
Portland, OR. I was their Operations Manager. This was a
wonderful work experience, but again, family issues moved
me back to Grand Rapids, MN, in 1999.
I worked as an office manager for an accounting firm in
Grand Rapids, MN, for a couple of years. Circumstances led
me to leave there and open my current salon, A-1
Nails...at your fingertips, in 2002.
